PerkinElmer Inc. (PKI) opened at 26.82. So far today, the stock has hit a low of 26.26 and a high of 28.50. PKI is now trading at 26.98, up 1.95 (7.27%). The stock hit its 52 week high of 30.00 in September and set its 52 week low of 21.88 in January. PKI rose during the last months of 2007, but has been moving sideways recently. PerkinElmer announced yesterday evening its first-quarter profit soared 37% to $20.1 million on double-digit growth in both of its business segments and favorable foreign exchange rates.
